Car flips, driver dies in overnight Chesterfield crash

CHESTERFIELD, Va. – Police are investigating after a fatal overnight car crash.

The crash occurred in the 1900 block of Walthall Creek Drive, around 12:26 a.m.  Monday, July 4.

The driver of a 2006 Nissan ran off the road, hit a brick retaining wall at the entrance of a driveway, and overturned.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The road into the Walthall Creek neighborhood was closed for several hours as police investigated the crash.

Police say they will release the driver’s identity after the next of kin is notified.
