RICHMOND, Va. – Four people have been hospitalized after a two vehicle crash in Scott's Addition Monday night.
Police said the accident occurred just after 10 p.m. at the intersection McTavish and W. Leigh Street. Police said a vehicle heading west on W. Leigh St. collided with a vehicle heading south on McTavish.
They said the collision happened when the vehicle drove through a stop sign and tried to slam on brakes, and struck the other vehicle, which ended up flipping.
Police confirmed there were no fatalities in the crash, but four people were transported to a local hospital. There is no information on the extent of the injuries at this time.
Police said the area will be shut down from traffic until further notice.
The crash is still under investigation.
