HOPEWELL: You only turn 100 once and the City of Hopewell has an open invitation for you to join them for their 100th Birthday Bash Saturday, July 2 in Festival Park behind The Beacon Theatre. The celebration features a formal 100 Birthday Ceremony at 3pm on the steps of City Hall, a special concert with the Legendary R&B group The Commodores and ending with a fireworks display.
General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate; Gold Circle advance $40, and $45 at the gate. Gates to Festival Park will open at 4pm, music starts around 4:30 and the Commodores taking the stage around 8pm. Lawn chairs and blankets encouraged.
