RICHMOND, Va. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to find the suspect in a May shooting outside a market on Richmond's Southside.
Officials released surveillance video and photos of the suspect Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded after receiving word that a person had been shot near Chippenham Parkway on May 28 just after 10:15 p.m. That is where an ambulance was flagged down by a vehicle.
Police said an adult male passenger in the car was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers said the man was shot outside the Golden Food Market at 2701 Jefferson Davis Highway.
The suspect is described as a black male between five feet five and five feet eight inches tall and weighing between 145 and 155 pounds.
