RICHMOND, Va. -- Voters will select candidates for Virginia's 4th District House Congressional race during Tuesday's Primary Elections.
The recently redrawn 4th District is guaranteed to have a new representative because incumbent Congressman Randy Forbes is running for the Virginia's 2nd District seat.
Henrico Sheriff Mike Wade and Jackee K. Gonzalez, of Chesterfield, are the candidates running for the Republican nomination.
State Senator Donald McEachin, of Henrico, and Ella P. Ward, of Chesapeake, seek the Democratic nomination.
The 4th District consists of Charles City County, Chesapeake, Chesterfield County, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie County, Emporia, Greensville County, Henrico County, Hopewell, Petersburg, Prince George County, Richmond, Southampton County, Suffolk, Surry County and Sussex County.
The polls close at 7 p.m.
