HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A man previously charged with having sex with women without telling them he was HIV positive was arrested again.
While those Henrico charges were dropped in early 2016, Cleaves was convicted in Maryland of reckless endangerment and credited with time served.
This week, a woman said Daniel Cleaves threatened to beat and rape her while her young child was nearby.
She spoke to CBS 6 about the encounter.
"You see a man that size and he says he knows where you live, and he'll beat me and rape me," the Henrico mom said, asking CBS 6 to hide her identity.
She said she had the run-in with Cleaves at the 7-11 on Gayton Road recently. That episode landed him behind bars again.

"My son and I went to 7-11 to get Slurpee’s,” she said Tuesday. “It was noon and as soon as I got out of the truck, he asked for a lighter."
The woman said she walked into the convenience store, then quickly came back out, saying Cleaves was hovering around her truck as she strapped her son into his car seat.
"I got to the point I was cursing at him,” she said. “My son was afraid, so I threw it into reverse."
Police said Cleaves held on to the woman's window, but let go as she sped up.
She said that he actually asked her to go out on a date several times during the encounter, even though she kept refusing.
"As soon as I gave his description to the police, they immediately knew," she said.
Cleaves was charged with disorderly conduct and felony probation violation, according to the Henrico Sheriff's Office website.
With previous convictions of reckless endangerment due to his HIV status, Cleaves has years of prison time that CBS 6 legal expert Todd Stone said he could serve if convicted of the new charges.
"This case is not an exact match, but it is sexually related. That's something a judge will look at aggressively if convicted," said Stone.
Cleaves is due in court August 3. The alleged victim said she will testify against him.
