RICHMOND, Va. – A Williamsburg man has been charged with abduction and felony assault in connection with a homicide at the Southwood apartment Complex Monday morning.
Jose G. Saldanes Villalobos, 27, has been charged with abduction and strangulation felony assault of a Latino female.
Police said additional charges are pending.
Villalobos was arrested Monday by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force.
A man’s body was discovered at about 5:30 a.m. inside an apartment, along the 1700 block of Clarkson Road. When police arrived, they located the victim, Juan Carlos Ramirez-Hernandez, 35, of North Chesterfield, dead.
Neighbors walking around the complex Monday morning told CBS 6 their community is normally “quiet” and said they did not hear anything unusual overnight.
