Cooler and less humid air returns to Central Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. -- A strong cold front is bringing cooler and less humid air will follow for Sunday evening and Monday.


After highs in the 90s Sunday, lows heading into Monday morning will be in the 50s to lower 60s.


Highs on Monday will be in the low to mid 80s.  Many locations will be at least 10° cooler than Sunday and a lot less humid.


Temperatures will warm back up closer to 90° on Tuesday, but humidity levels will remain comfortable.  It will turn more humid for the middle and end of the week, but it will not be too hot.  Less humid air arrives next weekend before more heat and humidity return the following week.  The summer solstice occurs on Monday, June 20.
