Missing 73-year-old last seen walking to store was wearing ‘Obama’ coat, fedora

RICHMOND, Va. — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a 73-year-old man who vanished while he was walking to a store on Richmond’s Southside Monday.

Police said they believe Lander S. Freeman, of the 1500 block of Silver Avenue, is endangered after his walking stick was found on the porch of a friend’s nearby home.

He was last seen on June 6 walking to Kings Market.

Freeman is described as a black male, six feet one and weighing about 200 pounds.  He has a medium complexion and an injury to one eye.

He was last seen wearing a coat with “Obama” printed on it with fur around the hood, green pants and a black fedora-type hat.

Anyone who sees Freeman or has information on his whereabouts should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
