2 displaced after Colonial Heights apartment fire

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- Two people have been displaced after a fire in a unit at Colonial Court Apts. in Colonial Heights.

Fire officials said a call for an apartment fire came in at 8:56 p.m. Three Colonial Heights Fire units and two Chesterfield Fire units responded to the scene.

The fire was marked under control within 30 minutes.

Fire officials said there was smoke and fire damage to the utility room and balance of an apartment.

The occupant of apartment and the one next to it have been displaced. The neighbor is displaced for the night.

The fire is still under investigation.
