RICHMOND, Va. – Children battling cancer attended a special prom Saturday night in Richmond.
The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU Hematology and Oncology Prom was filled with dancing, great music, yummy treats and even face painting.
The families attending the prom said their children had a wonderful time.
"We miss a lot of events because her counts are low, and she is not able to do things, so this is something fun we all get to come out to do,” parent Ashley Ray said.
This was the sixth year the hospital has hosted the event.
