Ride For Kids & help Save a Child

RICHMOND: Ride for Kids is the longest-running and most successful motorcycle charity event in the country. The ride raises funds to help children with brain tumors, a top cause of cancer deaths in children and funds raised will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The foundation is located in Asheville, North Carolina with a small staff of folks and events are guided by the Foundation but is supported by volunteers and task force members.

Richmond is one of 34 cities participating and riders of all makes and models of street-legal motorcycles can participate. Organizers say over 250 riders and 13 corvettes from the Corvette Club of Richmond participated in last year's ride and are hoping to double the numbers this year. The event is Sunday, June 5 and takes place at the Richmond Times Dispatch Operations Center just off I-295 and Route 301, registration starts at 8:30am and the ride is at 10am.
