RICHMOND, Va. -- Rooftop partying and socializing:
Welcome to Richmond's latest craze and another sure sign of the city's surging health.
We've gone from having just a few small high spots over the years to three biggies this year.
The lines are long to get up on the roof to socialize and watch a sunset.
The Hof - the old reborn Hofheimer Building - in Scott's Addition is the hot new addition to the rooftop action, and the lowest.
The rooftop on the top-rated Quirk Hotel also opened recently. It's been an instant smash hit.
But the newest one could top them all when it opens Wednesday.
The Kabana, 20 floors up atop 700 E. Main Street in the heart of downtown, has the best views, a restaurant with a known chef, in and out seating and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Check out the views in Mark Holmberg’s video report of the sights and sounds of a rooftop party.
