RICHMOND, Va. - Manyang Rheath Kher, founder of the “Humanity Helping Sudan Project,” returned to our studio to talk about the massive food and water shortages currently plaguing Sudanese refugees, and how you can help by purchasing coffee. Manyang, a “Lost Boy” from Sudan who lived in a refugee camp for years before settling in Virginia, said that he created his charity as a way to help refugees “help themselves.” He launched his latest fundraiser, "Coffee Initiative to Assist South Sudan Refugees," and will use the funds raised by the coffee sales to help purchase fishing nets, chickens and growing crops for the refugee encampments. You can learn more about this project by visiting www.humanityhelpingsudanproject.com
