MIDLOTHIAN, Va. — The wait is almost over. The Midlothian Wegmans will open this Sunday, May 22. Doors will open to the first round of shoppers at 7 a.m.
“The excitement of seeing customers walk into the store for the first time, smelling the bread baking and seeing the smiling employee faces ready to greet them, never gets old,” store manager Jerry Shelly said. “We know that the customer experience, the product selection and the tools we provide to help shoppers prepare easy, healthy meals are truly unique to Wegmans and we’re excited to share our love of food with the Midlothian community.”
The grocery chain announced nearly 24,000 Richmond-area customers have already signed up online for a Wegmans Shoppers Club card.
In addition to the Midlothian location, a second location will open later this year in Short Pump.
“Our people are the true point of differentiation at Wegmans,” Shelly added. “We’re proud of what we’ve built here and excited to welcome customers into our store – and demonstrate what sets us apart as a new neighbor in the community. Opening day can’t get here fast enough!”
