RICHMOND, Va. — GRTC has released several changes to its routes that begin Sunday. In some cases, some routes will operate later.
Here’s the update from GRTC:
- Route 1 Monument
- The routing remains the same, but trips are adjusted in the afternoon between 3 PM to 5PM, as the bus leaves from the Bremo and Monument location. The number of night trips is decreased. Please refer to the new public timetable.
- Route 16 Grove
- A detour is in effect on Route 16 on the University of Richmond campus until August 2016.
- A detour that has been in effect on Route 16 through the Virginia Commonwealth University campus is now a permanent part of Route 16. This path operates around the Library eastbound on Grove Avenue, to Harrison Street, to Franklin Street and then onto regular routing to the Temporary Transfer Plaza. - Route 21 Brook Road
- This route now extends to Walmart at Brook Road and Wilmer Avenue. The schedule is adjusted to reflect this service extension. Please refer to the new public timetable.
- Route 37 Chamberlayne
- Last trips conducted by buses on this route in the afternoon and evening now make a final trip from Chamberlayne and Brookland Park Boulevard to the Temporary Transfer Plaza before continuing onto the GRTC Belt Boulevard Garage. This change provides better connectivity between the 37 and other routes servicing the Temporary Transfer Plaza. Please refer to the new public timetable.
- Route 60 Hull Street – Chippenham
- This route now operates later service to Chippenham Mall. The last trip leaves Chippenham Mall at 11:07 PM on weekdays. Please refer to the new public timetable.
- Route 63 Midlothian – Chippenham Square
- This route now operates later service with one additional evening trip leaving Chippenham Square on Midlothian Turnpike at 11:06 PM on weekdays.Please refer to the new public timetable.
- Route 66 Spring Rock Green Express
- The place of Blakemore and Jahnke Road is added. The schedule times remain the same. Please refer to the new public timetable.
- Route 81 Chesterfield Plaza Express
- Service ends after the last trip on Friday, July 1, 2016. Please refer to the public timetable for service through July 1, 2016.
- Route 102 Kings Dominion Express
- Seasonal express service to the Kings Dominion Theme Park in Doswell, VA begins Saturday, May 28, 2016. Please refer to public timetables for times.
