PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- Last week CBS 6 told you about a Prince George High School student who was fighting for change after she tweeted out a photo of a less than appetizing school lunch. Well Monday the student received the change she was looking for.

Amyre Qualls asked CBS 6 Problem Solvers for help when she received pizza that looked like cardboard, spicy chicken balls with something gray in the middle, and a tiny serving of taco meat.

“Somebody has to say something,” Qualls said.

Qualls post quickly made the rounds with more than 200,000 people seeing it, including school leaders.

CBS 6 took her concerns to school leaders who said that protein-based pizza wasn't supposed to be served, and the food vendor used as a substitute a pizza without their knowledge.

“That has been addressed with the vendor, and they will not be substituting any items,” School Board Chairman Kevin Foster said.

Monday, Qualls was clearly happy with the changes as she tweeted out a photo that showed new pizza with the caption, “Thank the Lord!”
