RICHMOND, Va. — A body found outside an Amelia home has been identified as 19-year-old Shy’Nisha M. Walker of Richmond.

The teenager’s body was found May 4 outside a home along the 17000 block of Patrick Henry Highway.

A neighbor discovered the body in the driveway, investigators said.

“I don’t believe it happened here. I do believe this has happened somewhere else,” Amelia County Sheriff Ricky Walker said after the body was discovered.

Walker said the victim was fully clothed and that he believed her body was dumped outside the home early that morning.

The sheriff said he suspected foul play. He noted the victim had a head injury, but would not elaborate.

Anyone with additional information about the crime or Walker can submit a news tip here.
