RICHMOND, Va. — A South Richmond dentist office is offering free dental care to children whose parents don’t have insurance this weekend.
Kool Smiles is hosting its second annual “Sharing Smiles” free care day on Sunday, May 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event is for children in Richmond and surrounding areas who are up to 18 years old.
Available treatments will include dental exams, limited emergency care, extractions, fillings, and baby tooth root canals and crowns.
“While Kool Smiles is proud to provide quality, affordable dental care to families with various forms of insurance, including Medicaid, we also recognize that there are many children in our community who have no insurance and whose families cannot afford regular trips to the dentist,” a spokesperson said in a press release.
Kool Smiles is located at 4722 N. Southside Plaza St. in South Richmond. Dentists will provide services on a first come, first serve basis.
