Chesterfield student caught with stun gun inside high school

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A Chesterfield County high school student was caught will a stun gun on school grounds Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police tell CBS 6 a 15-year-old student brought the weapon to Matoaca high school. The school resource officer said the girl had the stun gun, but no one was threatened or injured.

A juvenile criminal complaint for possession of a weapon on school property was filed against the student.

CBS 6 reached out to Chesterfield County School leaders for comment, we are waiting to hear back.
