Car hits Chesterfield student crossing street

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — An 11-year-old middle school student was injured after a car struck him near Carver Middle School in Chester on Monday morning.

Police were called to the 3800 block of Cougar Trail at about 7:15 a.m.

“The investigation indicates an 11-year-old male attempted to cross the street and ran into the path of a Toyota Prius,” a Chesterfield Police spokeswoman said. “The juvenile male was transported to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”

No charges have been filed in this case.

Carver Middle School is located on Cougar Trail off of Harrowgate Road.
