Surveillance video shows man stealing package off Fan front porch

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are looking for a man caught on surveillance video stealing a package from the front porch of a home in Richmond’s fan neighborhood.

The crime happened Monday, April 18 around 3:55 p.m. on Monument Avenue near Meadow Street.

In the video you can see the suspect walk up to the front stoop, look inside the residence, pick up two packages, and take one of them.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a black, gray, and white striped shirt, dark pants, and black shoes. He also had a white bandana like cloth around his neck.

The surveillance video has been given to Richmond police to assist in their investigation.

Police ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call Third Precinct Detective Gregory Sullivan at (804) 646-1950 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
