RICHMOND, Va. — As a part of VCU Paralympic Experience Day, the VCU men’s basketball team played the Sportable Spokes in a wheelchair basketball game Friday at Siegel Center.

The Sportable Spokes is a Richmond wheelchair basketball team that just won the National Wheelchair Basketball Championship last week in Louisville.

The Rams put up a fight, but the Spokes won the match-up 23-13.

This event provides an opportunity for all of members of the community to participate together in sports, regardless of ability level.

The Center for Sport Leadership at VCU partnered with Sportable for VCU Paralympic Experience Day.
