CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police need help to identify the remains of a man found in Chesterfield last month. A fisherman found the remains Sunday, March 13, near the 1300 block of Bellwood Road and the James River.

“At this point in the investigation, the man’s race has not been determined,” a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. “At the time his body was recovered, he was wearing: a black Nike T-shirt, size XL; Pro Player track pants, size L; a fleece jacket, one size fits all; plaid boxer shorts, unknown size; and two black socks.”

Police have shared photos of the fleece hoping someone would recognize the clothing and provide help with the investigation.

Police are also still investigating how the man died.

Anyone with information should call Chesterfield Police at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
