RICHMOND, Va. -- It may have started as the World Wide Web, but sometimes the internet delivers a local surprise. This week CBS 6 meteorologist Nikki-Dee Ray spotted an internet meme she thought applied to the local weather.

While it is technically springtime, temperatures dipped down into the 30s and some snow flurries moved across Virginia this week. That is why Nikki-Dee posted a meme, circulating among meteorologists, that showed an upset child pointing at the camera along with the message:

Listen up Winter! You had 6 months to show up and you didn't. Now BUZZ OFF!!!

It turns out, the child in the photo being shared online is not some anonymous little kid. He is actually from Richmond!

Angela Wright took the photo of her son Baron in early 2006 at the Children’s Museum of Richmond on West Broad Street.

She said Baron kept pressing the foot pedal at the sink in the painting area and was wasting water. When she told him to stop – Baron, who was about 18 months at the time, got upset and pointed at her.

Wright, a professional photographer at the time, uploaded the cute picture of her son on the photo sharing website Flickr.

From there, someone lifted the photo and created the weather meme. Angela is not sure when that happened.

After Nikki-Dee shared the meme on her Facebook page, it was shared on the WTVR CBS 6 Facebook page. There it was seen by nearly a quarter-million people on Facebook.

One of Angela’s friends saw the meme on our page and told Angela. They all laughed and thought it was great. Baron, now a 12-year-old middle school student, asked his mom to screen grab the Facebook post so he could show his friends.
