CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A man has been arrested for driving under the influence after he slammed into a car before he flipped his car Saturday night in Chesterfield County.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Chester Road near Route 10.
Lt. Haynes with Chesterfield Police said a Nissan was headed eastbound on Route 10 when it made a left on Chester Road at a high rate of speed. That car then struck a Hyundai at the light, which caused the Nissan to flip before the car came to rest on its roof.
Haynes said the driver of the Nissan, 41-year-old Everett Jones Jr., was arrested and charged with DUI and having a firearm while intoxicated.
No one was injured in the crash.
