RICHMOND, Va -- A man was hospitalized after being hit while trying to cross Midlothian Turnpike.

Police said the man was hit at around 11:19 Thursday night near Midlothian Turnpike's intersection with Hull Street. The man had non-life threatening injuries.

The driver fled the scene. Police did not have a description of the car or that driver.
