RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student had nothing to say when asked about her charges Friday morning.
Courtney Stewart appeared before a judge regarding her charge of taking indecent liberties in a supervisory role.
Stewart is an exceptional education teacher at Huguenot High School and told she judge she has been suspended from work.
Sources tell CBS 6 Stewart is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student who attends Huguenot High School.
During her court appearance, the judge ordered Stewart have no contact with any child under the age of 18 pending the outcome of the case.
Right now, it's unclear whether the student was in Stewart's class.
Stewart is set to appear back in court on April 25.
