CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- The Central Virginia Food Truck Rodeo has been rescheduled for April 3, due to chilly temperatures and inclement weather in the forecast.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support for the first three food truck rodeos, but with the weather forecast calling for rain, possibly snow, and temperatures in the 40s, we have decided to postpone the event for the safety and comfort of the patrons and food truck staffs” says Laurin Willis, the promoter for the Food Truck Rodeo. “We continue to work with the Richmond Food Truck Association to build a better event. There will be a tremendous variety of cuisines for everyone to experience with several new food trucks joining the festivities. We hope everyone will find a new favorite food.”
The festival kicks off at Chesterfield Towne Center at noon and runs to 6 p.m., in the parking lot near Sears. More than 30 Richmond area food trucks will set up shop, for the afternoon, and live music will start at 12:30 p.m.
There will also be plenty of Virginia craft beer to wash all the food down. There's no admission into the Rodeo but food and drinks is a pay as you go.
The music schedule for the Central Virginia Food Truck Rodeo is as follows:
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. – Suggesting Rhythm
2 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Heartracer
3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p/m. – Roosterfoot
5 p.m. - 6 p.m. – DJ Williams Projekt
Guitar virtuoso Zack Artis will play between sets.
