CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in Chesterfield Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the 3600 block of Old Gun Road a little after 8 a.m. after a vehicle traveling south ran off the road and struck a tree.
The man driving the station wagon died at the scene.
The victim's identity will be released pending next-of-kin notification.
No other passengers were in the vehicle.
Police blocked off Old Gun Road from Iron Forge Drive to Young Manor Drive while they investigated the crash.
