GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Professional wrestling legend Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts will appear in Innsbrook Friday night and share stories with his fans. It is part of Roberts Unspoken Word tour.
“The show covers many aspects of Jake’s often controversial life which, it is widely understood, was inspiration for the movie The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke,” event organizer Nick Aldis said. “The positive side of Jake’s recovery from addiction and rebuilding of his life is the subject of a new movie called The Resurrection of Jake The Snake which has been widely praised by movie critics at film festivals worldwide.”

In addition to Jake’s show on Friday night, he will also be appearing at a live wrestling event at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds on Saturday night, Aldis said. In addition to Roberts, Richmond native and former WWE diva Mickie James and Virginia resident and former TNA World Champion Magnus will perform.
