Richmond man killed in Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Va. — A Richmond man was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Norfolk. Police identified the shooting victim as 28-year-old Phillip Spell.

“Shortly after 4:30 a.m. police responded to the 800 block of Fremont Street for a possible gunshot victim. When police arrived, they found Spell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” a Norfolk Police spokesperson said. “Paramedics rushed him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, but he died shortly after arriving.”
