Bearded man in hoodie robs Hopewell 7-Eleven

HOPEWELL, Va. — Police are looking for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven on West Broadway Street in Hopewell Wednesday night. The crime was reported at 11:55 p.m.

“The investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the business, indicated he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The offender then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency,” Hopewell Police Detective Sgt. William W. Absher III said. “No person(s) were injured during the incident.”

Police described the suspect as a 25 to 30-year-old white man. He appeared to be between 5’8” and 5’11” in height and weighed between 165 and 175 pounds. He also had a mustache and a beard.

“He was last seen wearing a grey in color hooded Carhartt sweatshirt, blue jeans and brown in colored footwear,” Absher said.
