CHSTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The driver of a car who allegedly forced a car off the Powhite Parkway in Chesterfield County Sunday afternoon is facing a number of charges.

Sgt. Steve Vick with Virginia State Police said the single-vehicle crash happened on southbound 76 and Jahnke Road around 4 p.m.

Vick said a 2010 Hyundai was driving recklessly when it forced a 2005 Mazda off the road and the vehicle overturned.

The driver and two passengers in the Mazda were rushed to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

However, Vick said the driver of the  Hyundai did not stop.

Troopers later arrested the suspect at a home in Chesterfield County.

Vick said 25-year-old Winfred T. Clark III of North Chesterfield was charged with DUI, hit-and-run and reckless driving.

Clark is being held at the Chesterfield County Jail.
