WASHINGTON — Former Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb said Friday he is not ruling out voting for GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

“I’m not sure yet. I don’t know who I am going to vote for,” Webb, who dropped out of the Democratic presidential primary in October, told the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” when asked if he’d vote for the real estate mogul.

“The reason why Donald Trump is getting so much support right now is because people are seeing him as the only one who has the courage to clean out the stables of the American governmental system right now,” Webb said.

When pressed on whether he would vote for Hillary Clinton, Webb openly ruled out voting for the Democratic front-runner.

“No, I would not vote for Hillary Clinton,” the former Virginia senator said. He was not asked about Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders.

“If you vote for Donald Trump you could get something very good or very bad,” Webb said. “If you vote for Hillary Clinton, you’re going to be getting the same thing.”

The former Democratic candidate has not yet endorsed a candidate.

Webb ruled out seeking an independent bid for the White House in February. He did not appear to have changed his mind on Friday.

“We looked at this very hard for three months, and it’s a very costly process,” Webb said.
