RICHMOND, Va. -- Before heading to work Friday morning, Christopher Brown and his wife had no issue getting their daughter to school.

"I looked out the window this morning and saw just a dusting on the ground, I knew it wasn't going to be that bad," said Brown.

The snow did impact some areas more than others in the morning, causing some schools like Colonial Heights and Petersburg to delay the start time by two hours.

However, Chesterfield, Henrico, and Richmond began on time.

Brown's daughter attends school in Chesterfield.

"They didn't need a delay, not this morning," he said.

Some parents told CBS 6 News that due to possible slick conditions, there could have been some sort of delay.

"I always believe it's better to be safe than sorry," said another parent.

Richmond, Chesterfield, and Henrico school systems said that as of late morning, the hadn't been made aware of any issues with schools being open.

Henrico spokesman, Andy Jenks said Friday was seen as a regular school day.
