UPDATE: Kourtney’s mother texted to say Kourtney had been found. She said Kourtney was okay, but exhausted. She wanted to thank everyone for sharing Kourtney’s photo and helping to bring her home.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Kourtney Christopher, an 8th grade student at Short Pump Middle School, is missing. Her mother Verna said she believed her 14-year-old girl ran away Tuesday while visiting relatives in Richmond’s Highland Park neighborhood. Kourtney was last seen Tuesday night at a home in the 3000 block of 5th Avenue in Richmond, her mother said.

“I fear she’s mixed up with the wrong people,” Verna Christopher said about her daughter. Based on recent texts and phone calls, Verna said she believed Kourtney was with a man in his 20s whom she met on Facebook.

“Just come home,” Verna pleaded.

Kourtney’s mother said her last communication with her daughter was around 3 p.m. Tuesday. Now, all calls to Kourtney’s phone go straight to voicemail. Her mother said it was unusual for Kourtney to be gone so long without contact.
