RICHMOND, Va. — Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton could make huge strides toward their party’s nominations Tuesday as a dozen states vote in primaries and caucuses on the most consequential day yet in the presidential race.
Voting has ended in three of 12 Super Tuesday states, and CNN has begun to project winners.
CNN projects that Hillary Clinton will win in Virginia and Georgia, Bernie Sanders will win his home state of Vermont, and Donald Trump leads in Georgia and is in close races with Marco Rubio in Virginia and John Kasich in Vermont, according to exit polls.
