Camille Cosby to be deposed Monday

Posted

Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille Cosby, is expected to be deposed Monday despite efforts from the comedian’s lawyers to prevent it from happening.

Over the weekend, Bill Cosby’s attorneys filed a motion to stop the deposition, and the plaintiffs’ lawyers have filed their arguments against that motion, but the judge has not issued a ruling on it, representatives for Cosby and the plaintiffs told CNN.

As of Sunday night, Camille Cosby’s deposition was expected to go forward at 9 a.m. in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Cosby’s legal team has been trying to prevent Camille Cosby from being deposed by attorneys for the eight women who have sued him for defamation.

The women claim that Cosby let his defense team paint them as liars after they came accused him of sexual assault.

Tamara Green, who has accused Cosby of sexually assaulting her in 1970, filed the defamation lawsuit against Cosby in December 2014.
