HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- The Victory 7 Mustang Club hosted a water drive for the people who live in Flint, Michigan, who are dealing with a water crisis.
The car club met up at the White Oak Mall Saturday afternoon to accept donations.
The club collected 5,000 bottles of water to donate to flint.
A club member is going to deliver a van full of the water to a local community center in Flint, that will then hand it out to those in need.
Richmond Ford donated the van to help the club collect and deliver the bottles of water to Flint.
Victory Mustang Club member Angela Mcclain said the group felt like they could make a difference in the water crisis.
"It was quite alarming to know that people are having such challenges with water, which is a basic need for us all and we wanted to do something as a community as a people to let them know that they are not alone and to help them during this challenging time," she said.
Mustang Club organizers said they hope to have another fundraiser in the near future.
