RICHMOND, Va. — It’s finally here! Well, kind of.
Stone Brewing is holding a “soft opening” this weekend. Saturday the store will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the company’s Facebook page. The Brewery opened Friday for it’s unofficial ‘soft’ opening.
The ‘soft’ opening won’t have beer brewed in Richmond just yet, but it will feature beer brewed in Escondido, California.
California-based Stone Brewing’s new brewery at 4300 Williamsburg Ave, near Rocketts Landing, is a massive 200,000-square-foot facility.
In 2014, Stone chose Richmond over other finalists Norfolk and Columbus, Ohio as the location for their new East Coast brewery. Stone is the 10th largest craft brewery in the United States.
Regular operations of the brewery are scheduled to begin in May 2016.
