CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- UPDATE: Both C'ere Lewis and nine-year-old Sesha Hill were located safe in New Cumberland, PA Friday, according to Chesterfield County Police.

Thank you everyone for your help sharing this story!

It's a mystery that has one Chesterfield dad pacing the floor and losing sleep. Marvin Lewis desperately wants to know where his 33-year-old daughter C'ere Lewis is, as well as his granddaughter, nine-year-old Sesha Hill.

Lewis said the pair left their Sharonridge Drive home Thursday evening around 7:15 p.m.

They were headed to a Midlothian dance studio for Sesha's hip hop dance class.

When the two failed to come home before midnight on a school night, Lewis knew something was wrong.

"It was uncharacteristic for my daughter to keep her out that late beyond the hour that she would be in bed, so I called police and reported it," Lewis said.

Lewis said he also got a call from C'ere's job that she never showed up for her Thursday evening shift.

Unable to sleep, he started driving around the area looking for C'ere and Sesha.

Friday morning he even experienced more anxiety when the dance studio confirmed that the nine-year-old Jacobs Road Elementary student and her mom never showed up for dance class the night before.

Lewis said it broke his heart Friday morning when C'ere's eight-year-old son asked for his mom and sister.

Neighbors in the Mayfair Estates subdivision said the news is extremely unsettling.

"I just pray that everything is OK and they come home. Maybe she took her daughter for an early weekend trip. We just want to think positive here," neighbor Stella Tucker said.

While neighbors pray and hope for the best, the worried father pled with the community to help bring his daughter and granddaughter home safely.

"Please whoever is out there if you see them please let us know so we can have our minds at ease," Lewis said.

Although foul play is a real possibility, Retired Police Captain Steve Neal said more often than not everything turns out to be OK in missing person’s cases.

“It’s only a very small percentage that end up having some type of criminal problem or some type of foul play or something like that,” Neal said.

Neal said detectives will first try to determine the circumstances surrounding a person’s disappearance.

“Could this be a domestic type situation, could it be a stranger that has abducted the person, or could it be a person that doesn’t want to be found,” Neal said.

Neal said they will then pull electronic records from cell phones, computers and social media sites.

“Those things often times will provide clues as to something that was going on prior to them going missing,” Neal said.

Police said C'ere Lewis was driving a silver 4 door 1993 Toyota Corolla.

The car has a Virginia tag that reads XTM 7606.

Lewis is described as a black female, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. She has brown eyes. She has black hair that is currently cut very short.

Sesha is described as a black female, about 4 feet tall and weighing about 70 pounds. She has black braided hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Lewis or Sesha Hill should contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
