PULASKI COUNTY, Va. -- A Pulaski County woman will be sentenced in may for her role in the death of her son.

A judge found Ashley White guilty Friday of felony child abuse and neglect.

Her 5-year-old son, Noah Thomas, was found dead inside a septic tank on the family's property in March.

Prosecutors said it happened because the boy had been left unattended.

This case was not heard by jurors because the judge ruled the jury pool had been tainted by media coverage.

Noah's father, who faces the same charges, is scheduled to go on trial next month.
