Randolph-Macon was upset at home by Shenandoah 71-59

Former Virginia Tech and Redskins receiver Josh Morgan is facing a misdemeanor gun charge after accidentally shooting himself on January 31st. Morgan claims he was cleaning his weapon when it discharged hitting him in the leg. Morgan was not seriously injured and will appear in court in March.

The Flying Squirrels announced football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis will throw out the first pitch at their home opener on April 14th.

Chesterfield native and former NASCAR driver Lennie Pond passed away on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. Pond was the 1973 Winston Cup Series Rookie of the Year and won his only Cup Series race at Talladega in 1978.
