HANOVER, Va. — A man is in custody at a Hanover County jail and faces charges after stabbing another man twice inside a 7 Eleven Saturday morning.
Police have charged 49-year-old Jeffrey Earl Post of Richmond with aggravated malicious wounding and being drunk in public in relation to the incident.
Deputies responded to an emergency call around 2:00 am from the convenience store at the intersection of Creighton and Cold Harbor Roads.
According to investigators, Post and the victim were having an argument at the 7 Eleven that turned into a physical altercation.
The victim sustained stab wounds to his abdomen and right leg and was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
