HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a masked man who robbed the Last Stop Bar and Grill in eastern Henrico County earlier this week.

While it is unclear if the cases are linked, two other businesses have been broken into on the Williamsburg Road corridor.

The most recent theft was when a suspect forced open the back door at the Last Stop Bar and Grill on Williamsburg Road ariybd 4:35 a.m. Wednesday. .

“He pried his way in to where he could squeeze in between the bar and frame of the door," said Stephanie Bickett, a manager the bar.

The thief's first stop, which was captured on surveillance video, was the restaurant's cash drawer and with a twist of a key and punch of a button, he grabbed about $600.

"He went directly to the cash drawer, took all of the money out of the cash drawer,” Bickett said. “Underneath there we have a cabinet, he took the all the change that we keep for the day. He immediately then went over to  grab keys to where we store the beer and liquor in the backroom."

The fact that he went right for the cash drawer may be Henrico detectives' biggest clue, since the thief didn't fumble with the keys.

Bickett said he got it right on the first try, which she thinks means the suspect has visited the bar before.

"Our set of keys for this building… it’s got a lot of keys on it," Bickett said. "He knew exactly which key to use to get into the liquor room."

While he was in the cooler, the thief rifled through cabinets and even looked directly into the camera.

The grill's owner said that four minutes before that he had taken a swing at the ATM machine. However, the ATM was out of money, so it appears he gave up.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance video, call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
