HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Henrico County Public Schools has announced schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. (12-month and C&M employees only, report on time.)

No decision has been made about Thursday, January 28.

The school system has also announced Friday, January 29, will be a regular, full, school day for all students and staff. For high schools, it will be a 7-period day. Monday, February 1, will also be a regular, full, school day for all students and staff.

These are changes from the previous schedule.

Henrico County has also cancelled midterm exams for high school and middle school students. They said this decision was made in order to devote more time to instruction once students return to school.

“However, if for any reason a student wishes to take the exam, schools will make that option available. You will receive further guidance from your school once classes resume,” Henrico County Public Schools spokesperson Andy Jenks said in a statement.
