MELBOURNE VIC, Australia — The parents of newborns captured video of their premature twins holding hands after birth, and the precious moment has gone viral.
Mother of little Kristian and Kristiana, Anthea Jackson-Rushford, posted the video on her Facebook page with the post:
“Amazing!!! Needs to go viral!!! Our preemie twins Kristiana and Kristian! Born at just 28 weeks and 1 day! Weighed in at under a kilo each! #preemietwins”
Under a kilo translates to 2.2 pounds each.
In the video an off camera voice says “he actually holds her hand! How is that possible?”
In just one week, the video has been shared over 126,000 times and been viewed over 8.7 million times.
If that wasn’t sweet enough, the hand holding has continued. Jackson-Rushford has posted additional pictures over the last few days of the pair still holding hands when together.
“Both my angels holding hands again as if they were born to! Amazing sight!” Jackson-Rushford said in a one post. “As you can clearly see, they can’t stop holding hands!!” she said in another.
