HENRICO, Va. — Two people are hospitalized after an early morning stabbing in Henrico.

Lt. Scott Kubicki of Henrico Police said that officers received a 9-1-1 call a little before 4 a.m. in reference to an assault and stabbing on the 300 block of Airport Place. There, he said, a man and a woman who knew each other got in an altercation with a knife and both sustained non-life threatening lacerations, with one being cut in the arm and the other in the stomach.

Both were transported to local hospitals.

Lt. Kubicki said that at this time, police are still trying to determine exactly what occurred between the two and who was responsible for instigating the incident.

While both individuals have been identified and no additional suspects are being sought, police say the investigation is still ongoing.
