Man suffers non-life threatening injuries after shooting inside his car in South Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — A man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot inside his own car in South Richmond Thursday night.

Police said the incident occurred just after 10 p.m. in the area of Ruffin Rd. and Commerce Rd.

The victim said he picked up two individuals in his vehicle. He said he was then shot by one of the people. The victim then drove to the 2500 block of Broad Rock Blvd., where he exited the vehicle, and the suspects took off.

Police said the suspects drove off in the victim’s blue GMC Sonoma pickup, with the license plate, VGV-1648.
